The Story of Adrianna Witte - Mommy And Me Swag

When Adrianna Witte was born, everything else seemed black and white. It was almost as if her light was so powerful, that it over shined anything else around it. She was the most incredible thing I had ever seen. As the years went by, I couldn't help but remind her how beautiful she was both and inside and out. I thought that would be enough to boost her self esteem when she was unsure. Unfortunately, the voices of her peers drowned out the voices of her parents.
She would leave the house in one outfit, and come back in completely different clothes. Eventually she told us the reason was because she was being picked on for what she was wearing, and would go to the nurse's office and pick clothes out of the lost and found to wear for the rest of the day. I cried myself to sleep so many nights after I found that out. After the year ended, she was changed schools so bad that she could escape the people hurting her.
Fast forward to a few months ago. My dad just passed away, and I was in a very sad place. Randomly, Adrianna asked me if we could make up a dance one weekend. Even though I didn't feel like it, I knew that it was something good for her to do (enough for her to ask me). So we did. Together we made up a dance, and recorded a few months later. She told me that it was one of the best things she's ever done, and that she couldn't wait to show people that it was posted to YouTube.
This was a girl who wouldn't even wear her own clothes all day throughout School. Now she wanted the whole world to see who she was. Regardless of the audience that views it, it helps her realize that she is who she is and I will always be there for her to do anything that I need to do to make her feel pride in herself... Even if it's dancing in the middle of my apartment complex, just because it makes her smile.
Bullying doesn't stop after high school or college. It's not something that only happens in a School atmosphere. I've been bullied today on Instagram alone, and even bullied a month ago at work. Bullying happens at every age and in every aspect of our lives. If we create self confidence that's so strong it's impenetrable, then the weapons that they use, won't even be able to scratch the surface.
